INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To fulfil your order or send you a quotation we need certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering (or are interested in). We may also collect the information on your preferences and interests, other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information that is useful or relevant to your product choices.
WHY WE NEED THIS INFORMATION & HOW WE USE IT
There are a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
as needed to provide services, such as when we use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for our loyalty scheme and mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law;
Aside from this we require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons: Internal record keeping. We may use the information to improve our products and services. We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
INFORMATION SHARING & DISCLOSURE Your information is very important to our business and your trust in our discretion is equally important. Aside from Vend & Collect (use as described below) we will only share your personal information for very limited reasons and circumstances:
Service and product providers. We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services, such as manufacturers, nursery wholesalers/agents and delivery companies. We will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services or deliver products.
Business transfers. If BabyBe: is sold or merged, we may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. We may collect, use, retain, and share your information in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of customers, or others.
Our Loyalty Scheme/Reward Program is managed via Collect. Collect is a Data Processor, meaning that they process the data collected in store, including personal data and non-personal data. The data Collect processes for BabyBe: includes: Name, Email, Phone Number, Address, IP Address, Date of Birth. Non-Personal Data includes Transactional Data and Account Creation Date. Under the GDPR, Data Subjects have the "right of erasure". This means you can request that their data be removed at any point. You can of course opt out of our loyalty scheme and remain a valued customer. (Please see below for information on how to do this).
Some of the third-party service providers mentioned above may store and process your information through hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction.
SECURITY We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
While we make every effort to ensure that your information is secure on our system, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

A right of access to a copy of the information we hold about you, please contact us using the contact details below to request this. You also have rights to change, restrict use of, or delete your personal information. Apart from in exceptional circumstances (like where we are required to store data for legal reasons) we will delete or change your personal information upon request.
A right to object to receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, we can update your preferences so that your information is only used in a way that you are comfortable with.
A right to complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about the use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
INSTORE CCTV We have installed CCTV systems in our store which is used by members of the public, for the purposes of public and staff safety and crime prevention and detection. CCTV is also installed on the outside of some of our building for the purposes of monitoring building security and crime prevention and detection.
In all locations, signs are displayed notifying you that CCTV is in operation and providing details of who to contact for further information about the scheme.
Images captured by CCTV will not be kept for longer than necessary. However, on occasions there may be a need to keep images for longer, for example where a crime is being investigated.
You have the right to see CCTV images of yourself and be provided with a copy of the images.
We will only disclose images and audio to other authorised bodies who intend to use it for the purposes stated above. Images and audio will not be released to the media for entertainment purposes or placed on the internet for public viewing.
We operate CCTV and disclose in accordance with the codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner and the Home Office.
